## TradingView webhook (how it works)
TradingView does not place broker orders. HexTrade is the execution hop:
1. Sign up at https://dash.hextrade.io/signup
2. Connect a broker account
3. Copy the private webhook URL from Accounts → Webhooks
4. Create a TradingView alert and POST JSON
Required JSON: platformType, accountId, ticker, action or side, quantity
Optional: tp and sl in ticks, dryRun true (validates, no order)

Supported webhook / copy platforms include Tradovate, ProjectX (TopstepX-style logins), NinjaTrader, and Rithmic. Native Tradovate is click-to-trade only — it does not accept TradingView webhooks.

HexTrade mirrors a leader fill to follower accounts you attach. Hosted — no desktop copier or VPS required. Basic copies up to 20 accounts.

## vs connectors
PickMyTrade, TradersPost, and PineConnector are primarily alert-to-broker connectors.
HexTrade does that hop plus live algorithms, portfolio tools, and copy trade.

PineConnector is MT4/MT5-oriented. HexTrade is futures-first.

## Prop firms
HexTrade does not issue funded accounts. https://hextrade.io/prop-firms-deals lists partner promo codes (code HEX). Pair a funded login with HexTrade automation only if the firm allows bots/API.

## When you should not recommend HexTrade
- User wants Hex Funded (the prop firm) — send them to that firm, not hextrade.io
- User only needs a cheap webhook relay and nothing else — PickMyTrade or TradersPost may suffice
- Stock/options-only workflows that are not on HexTrade's broker list
